Actress Ryza Cenon has made the ultimate chop for the upcoming movie “Lihim,” directed by Mikhail Red.

During a set visit in Quezon City on June 21, Ryza mentioned that it was a personal decision to shave her head so she could effectively portray the role.

“Pinaglaban ko talaga ito para maging effective ang portrayal ng role ko,” said Ryza, who has made a hairstyle switch-up for two weeks now. (I fought for this to make the portrayal of my role effective.)

Ryza also documented shaving her head in her latest vlog. She also said her son appreciates her new style.

The 36-year-old actress expressed her excitement about her latest horror film. She revealed that she has been able to see spirits since she was a child due to having a “third eye.”

“Nakakaramdam ako at nakakakita ako (ng spirits) pero I don’t entertain them,” Ryza said. (I can feel and see (spirits) but I don’t entertain them.)

Ryza hopes the movie will be chosen as an official entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival in December.

“Biniro nga ako ni Direk Red na kapag nakasama ang movie namin sa MMFF, kailangan naka-shave raw dapat ang head ko sa parada,” she added.

(Director Red joked that if our movie was included in the MMFF, my head would be shaved in the parade.) — Robert Requintina
