Lovi Poe proud of her all-Filipino skincare routine

International actress Lovi Poe often finds herself pausing these days when asked where she is based. As many people know, the talented Filipina married British movie producer and biomedical scientist Monty Blencowe in London in August 2023. Soon after, she was cast in not one but three successive Hollywood movies, whose filming schedules further required her to travel between Los Angeles and Manila, where she also has continuing showbiz commitments.

“I’m technically living in three places right now, but I still like to call the Philippines my home,” Lovi warmly said after giving the once simple question some thought at a media conference this week.

She happily related that she just finished shooting her next drama thriller for Regal Films, “Guilty Pleasure,” and extended her stay for her contract renewal with Gracee Angles’ skincare brand, SCD, where this interview was held.

“I’ve been traveling a lot–yes,” Lovi conceded, even if the way she always looks never reveals a hint of fatigue or jetlag. She is always fresh and glowing, even when she posts from her early morning runs anywhere in the world.

The actress explained that maintaining a healthy lifestyle has shielded her from the effects of long-haul flights, time differences, and weather changes.

“I love to sweat it out and exercise, I try my best to eat healthy, and of course, I get a lot of help from the products that Ms. Gracee has carefully developed for SCD,” shared the Filipina beauty who has been the proudly Philippine-made skincare brand’s celebrity endorser from day one. Lovi proudly informed media that despite being exposed to countless skincare brands in her travels, she still follows her SCD skincare routine whether she and Monty spend a weekend in the south of France to soak up some sun or spend the holidays in the harsh winters of London.

Recalling Angeles’ offer to represent their brand for the first time in 2022, Lovi said she initially ensured the range of cleansers, soaps, sunscreens, lotions and creams was top quality and worked well with her Filipina skin.

Moreover, Lovi says she holds her head that much higher when people abroad complement her skin because she can tell them that she uses an all-Filipino range.

“That’s very important to me, especially now. I have this extra love for Filipino brands, and SCD is one brand, for sure, that I would like to share more and more with my friends living abroad,” she ended.
